K-Pop

My favorite K-Pop groups.

U-Kiss

U-Kiss will always be my favorite K-Pop group in the world. U-Kiss is the first band I truly fell in love with, and it seems I’ll always be in  love with them. You could say they’re getting more and more attractive by the day. The main reason I love them so much is because they’re so different from the other K-Pop groups out there. They have their own charms, and a very unique personality. Although they’re not the most popular and well-known K-Pop group, I think they will last for a long time. They aren’t called the Weed-dols for no reason!

My bias is Kevin, the cutie of the group. It seems like I always fall for the cuties. I also like Dongho, who’s only a year older than me, which might be the main reason I like him. It’s funny, cause Dongho is about 17 years old right now, and his voice is deeper than Kevin, who’s three years older than him.

DBSK (TVXQ)

Although I’m not a die-hard Cassie, I love DBSK with all my heart. The main reason I love DBSK is because they’re so talented. All of the members are skilled in vocals and dance, the most important things you need to be a successful and respected K-Pop group, in my opinion. Along with that, each have their own special talents and charms, which makes the group all the more attractive. I think they will be the most talented group the K-Pop industry will see for a long time.

I love all the members. Every one of them are so talented and good-looking, so it’s hard not to be attracted to all of them. But if I had to pick, my favorite would be Yoochun. The more and more I saw him, I fell in love with him. My favorite couple would be the YunJae couple, which seems to be the most popular among fans. I just think that this couple, made up of Yunho and Jaejoong, is the ultimate source of hope that, one day, DBSK will be a group of five again. Always keep the faith!

C.N. Blue

Unlike the other boy bands in the K-pop industry, C.N. Blue is an indie rock band, and surprisingly, very popular among K-Pop fans. Although I wouldn’t consider them to be part of the K-Pop genre, they’re still known as idols in the music industry. The main reason I like C.N. Blue is because of their music. Their music, unlike K-Pop, is actual rock, and although it’s not hard rock to the core, it’s refreshing to hear a new kind of music in the K-Pop industry. I love almost all of their songs, they’re both catchy and soothing to hear.

I think I got to like this band because I fell in love with their leader, Jung Yong Hwa. Although I don’t like him as much now, I just fell in love with his flower boy face and great singing talent. That boy can really do something with his guitar. His cover of Jason Mraz’s “Lucky” made me fall in love with the song. My most favorite C.N. Blue song is “Y, Why…” which is all in English. It just has this very indie rock sound that creates feelings of nostalgia and sadness sometimes.

Infinite

Infinite is like my second love, after U-Kiss. It’s only been a month since I fell in love with them, but it seems like I’ve known them forever. My only regret is that I didn’t check them out before, back to when they first debuted. I think I fell fast head over heels for this group, even faster than U-Kiss. They’re like a younger, slightly more talented version of U-Kiss, if I may say so. It’s only been two years since their debut, and already they’ve accomplished so much. This is a group worth watching out for, they have so much potential. I’m so glad that they’re loved by as much as they should be by the Korean public, unlike U-Kiss.

One day, I just decided to check Infinite out, upon curiosity, as to why this group is so popular. And wow, did I find out. I first listened to their first big hit, “Be Mine,” and watched the music video. I kind of liked it, so I started listening to more of their songs. Before, I’d kind of checked out their “The Chaser” music video, but somehow, I stopped in the middle of it, cause I wasn’t used to the unique sound of the song. I think “Be Mine” helped me to attract my interest while giving me a sense of Infinite’s sound, a blend of classic K-Pop and a certain je ne sais quoi, what makes Infinite stand out from the rest of the K-Pop industry.
