You’re Beautiful

This is probably my favorite drama of all time. It was the first Korean drama I watched nonstop, straight through. There are 16 episodes, and I watched all of them in 3 days. You’re Beautiful is the classic Korean teen drama, and I will never get sick of watching it over and over again. There’s almost just enough drama, comedy, and romance to satisfy a Korean drama lover. I think I fell in love with this drama partly due to its very clever wordplay and cute romantic bits. The title, “You’re Beautiful,” is a great example of some of its wordplay, with Mi Nam being the main character, who’s “beautiful” (mi nam in Korean means “beautiful/handsome guy”). The Pig Rabbit and Tae Kyung’s love troubles will forever be memorable drama moments for me.
